Through conversations with customers and questions asked of our owners we identified a need for a better solution for homeowners to get help with home projects. With changing demographics and shifting priorities, good quality home services providers have become more in demand and increasingly in short supply. It became clear that there is a need that we can help fill; a need for more reliable plumbers, painters, electricians, heating and air conditioning experts and other home services offerings –
We took this challenge as a call to extend our mission as the most helpful hardware stores on the planet and to also become the most helpful provider of home preservation services. Based on the unique role Ace plays in the local community and our obsession with providing helpful, best-in-class customer service – Ace Hardware Home Services was launched.

Our journey into Home Services kicked off with the launch of Ace Handyman services in 2019 – we now have handyman services in 47 states throughout the US. In 2023, we continued our journey to Bring Helpful to the Homes of our neighbors with the launch of plumbing, heating & cooling, and electrical businesses employing 800+ trusted experts in hundreds of zip codes across the country. With the partnership of Ace Hardware Home Services these multi-generation family run services businesses can continue to operate locally with the same great team and service their customers have come to know and love, but with expanded opportunity for their customers and employees.
